Maps & charts raise question the CCP released Omicron

Readers here might recall that in April 2020 I blogged “WuhanVirus as a ChiCom ops”.
On 26Jan2020 I had blogged “Australia Day & coronavirus thoughts” as it looked obvious to me people were flooding our border at airports with no health checks. Anyway – fast forward to 2Jan2022 as we cope with the huge Omicron case numbers surge and I thought “I wonder how China is coping with Omicron?”. This JHU map shows that Omicron is an absolute “nothing-burger” in China despite flooding almost every corner of planet Earth with a huge Christmas surge in Covid case numbers. So is the CCP so confident they are untouchable that they could have developed Omicron in a lab and planted it around the world? Johns Hopkins University & Medicine Coronavirus global map
Larger map. I should have added that a week ago David Archibald has said that Omicron came from a laboratory.

  1. I agree that the John Hopkins map is interesting but wonder at the completeness of the data used to compile it.

I’ve always found Archibald’s articles to be prone to grandiose hypotheses based on data that is incomplete and therefore ambiguous.

China is omicron free ? Given its’ well-tracked infectiousness, how has Xi managed this ? Archibald doesn’t tell us.

And the David Evans blog has always persisted with the hypothesis of deliberate Chinese biowarfare – partly, it seems to me, to justify WA staying hiding under the doona. Nova’s blog does this as well, which is why I’ve not bothered with either website for many months now.

And as usual, these various hypotheses never delineate an exit strategy. We are to think that Western populations will be destroyed through Sino bio-cunning … no way out.

  2. Just finished talking to some mining contacts in the Middle Kingdom.

There is still the “iron fist” there for control of lockdown and other heavy restrictions.

X’ian is in current lockdown – over 13 million people. Those perceived as rule-breakers are paraded as such in public streets for heavy humiliation.

It does seem that omicron is not a stranger there, no matter the John Hopkins maps.

  3. I assume that there are thousands of Middle Kingdom Resource Industry pro’s working throughout Africa and globally and many of these may have wanted to travel home for their New Year celebrations. Quite apart from a steady stream of MKRIP’s travelling to and from the MK and global destinations at any time of year. I would estimate the numbers of MKRIP’s globally at least in the 10 to the 6 range. There are also thousands of MK professionals working globally in commerce, construction etc etc who also have a habit of enjoying furloughs at home. Now look at the tiny pinpoints on the MK on the Johns Hopkins global map – I rest my case. I noticed the ABC reporting “China orders lockdown of up to 13 million people in Xi’an after spike in COVID-19 cases 23Dec21” – What caught my eye in the ABC article was (no mention of Omicron) plus the photo of empty supermarket shelves showing Christmas decorations – cut out red n green fir trees and reindeer – just like in Aussie.

What is your case, exactly ?

That omicron is a deliberate Sino lab release through expat Chinese in South Africa as conduits ?

I repeat – I find the John Hopkins map uncertain in its’ data, especially in China. Siberia I can believe. But if your case rests on John Hopkins data for China – as you’ve stated – then its’ reliability is questionable. Who supplies that raw data ?

Anecdotal response from Chinese colleagues in-situ suggests the Chinese data used in the Hopkins map is understated. Now my case is at rest.

  5. Apologise for this 2nd post. I meant to include this next paragraph in the first comment – distracted by phone calls (poor reason, I know).

The other aspect with omicron I find interesting is the apparently unexpected changes in its’ spike protein. I agree that this is probably a red flag. I’d like to read analyses of this from responsible geneticists, but definitely not epidemiologists.

  6. I have just come across these 2 articles and the included diagram – The Omicron Hypothesis, Part 1 20Jan22 see this diagram towards the end

The Omicron Hypothesis, Part 2 22Jan22
the articles and diagram do no harm to my suspicion that Omicron was developed/discovered at the Wuhan lab and did not spread to the World from Southern Africa as we are told. Adding this link to Johns Hopkins University & Medicine Coronavirus global map and you can see the minute red dots over China are virtually unchanged through January. More reason to be suspicious about what we are told.
