BoM “crying Wolf” again warning that Brisbane heat may come as ‘shock’
Tuesday the BoM put out this warning – BoM says hot Brisbane weather may come as ‘shock’ Five days later I just wonder who is shocked as Brisbane temperatures look boring normal as AWN shows.
Taxpayers should be shocked at paying for this feverish twaddle. Eventually Brisbane will get a hotter than normal day – nothing is more certain.
Here we are on Sunday afternoon near 1700EST and the BoM has not figured out what the maximum was on the 5th and the minimum on the 12th – I mean what can happen to change things now? 30 minute data is here. I have just had an email saying that the Feb 2005 email from Dr Phil Jones to me saying – “We have 25 or so years invested in the work. Why should I make the data available to you, when your aim is to try and find something wrong with it. ” – has been mentioned at Climate etc the blog by Dr Judith Curry.

Huge variations in Australian satellite temperature trends over 37 years 1979-2015
Comparing data for RSS V3.3, UaH V5.6 and the UaH V6Beta for the exact 37 years 1979-2015 (data from KNMI Climate Explorer using the Australian mask) – The trends using the Linest function in Excel are RSS V3.3 – 0.26°C, UaH V5.6 – 0.58 and the UaH V6Beta is an eye watering 0.88. IMHO huge differences shown in these KNMI charts.

Update solar cycle 24 through 2015 includes new RI sunspot series
Time to revist the progress of solar cycle 24 –
SIDC Brussels have produced a Version 2 series of sunspot numbers that looks very close to SWO NOAA.
SWO have a prediction out to end 2019 using the Version 1 RI numbers.
Does anybody know of any predictions for the timing of the next minima?
