Time to revist the progress of solar cycle 24 –
SIDC Brussels have produced a Version 2 series of sunspot numbers that looks very close to SWO NOAA.
SWO have a prediction out to end 2019 using the Version 1 RI numbers.
Does anybody know of any predictions for the timing of the next minima?
Dr Svalgaard thinks 2030 is likely , Dr David Hathaway of NASA suggests 2022. Others like WUWT suggest 2025. It is anyone’s guess.

“The slowdown we see now means that Solar Cycle 25, peaking around the year 2022, could be one of the weakest in centuries.” He is very likely to have got the year wrong in that Solar Cycle 25 is unlikely to start until 2025.
