Jack Ruby’s execution of Lee Harvey Oswald among dozens of Dallas cops lead many of us over decades to conclude that the Warren Commission aided & abetted by FBI-CIA-Secret Service-Dallas & Texas cops was the greatest witness bullying & evidence tampering org in US history. Much has been done over decades by US Congressional orgs to search for the truth and nail down lies about events relative to the assassination of JFK 59 years ago tomorrow.
In 2017-2018 there has been ~55,000 JFK assassination related files released by US Archives – anyone can download a 5Mb xlsx file – so we are in another world now where people and orgs loyal to the Warren Commission process have fewer places to hide.
There was a 2017-2018 2 DVD movie set “JFK Declassified Tracking Oswald” produced by the History Channel featuring presenter ex CIA Agent Bob Baer. I do not know if any CIA pers. ever become “ex” but Bob is worth hearing out in the last 2 or 3 epidodes on DVD 2 as he strains to keep faith with Warren that Oswald was the lone assassin while finding evidence he had anti-Castro Cuban helpers.
Oliver Stone released an updated movie last year “JFK Revisited: Through The Looking Glass” which systematically destroys key pillars of Warren. Buy beg or borrow this as the quickest route to updating with modern information from many researchers plus the 2017-2018 files releases.
We should not forget the amazing efforts by pioneer JFK researcher & lawyer the late Mark Lane who in ~1963-1968 interviewed dozens and dozens of JFK assassination witnesses – filming many – giving those brave people a chance to leave their observations for posterity. Most of Mark Lane’s 1960’s research is in his book and movie “Rush to Judgment”. There is a great 1.7Mb pdf of the 1992 edition of “Rush to Judgment” by Thunder’s Mouth Press – that I have for download.
List of some modern observations and assumptions of mine
[1] We know now that the Dallas Mayor Earle Cabell in late 1963 was a brother of General Cabell of the CIA sacked by JFK and the Dallas Police were in that admin pyramid headed by the Mayor.
Out of loyalty to his brother could Mayor Cabell have influenced some in the Dallas Police Dept to secretly perform/encourage/or ignore some acts hostile to JFK.
[2] There is much evidence of stunning incompetence by the Dallas PD and Fed Police orgs before and after the assassination. Lost/mislaid evidence, bullets, cartridge cases, failure to record interviews with Oswald, colossal fail to take simple basic steps to keep Oswald alive after both the FBI and Dallas PD knew threats had been made to harm him. At Parkland – cleaning the limo which was surely part of the crime-scene, laundering/pressing Connally’s/JFK’s clothing and now we know even the “magic bullet” has a fictional “chain of custody” and is as fraudulent as a $3 note. I expect too that the three cartridge cases found on the 6th floor are probably as phony as the “magic bullet”.
[3] Bernard Weissman signed for the front-page anti JFK Black Bordered advert to run in the Dallas Morning News on 22Nov1963 for the “American Fact Finding Committee” representing several far right groups. The ~$1500 for the advert was contributed by the John Birch Society, right wing groups around General Walker, Hunt the oil baron and the “Young Americans for Freedom” YAF. I am looking for text of the advert – in the png file I have the text is only partly legible and in time I can edit/guess a text version.
[4] Mark Lane discovered there was a meeting between Weissman, Tippit and Ruby on the 14Nov63 late at night at Ruby’s Carousel club that lasted for a few hours – lots to discuss.
In Rush to Judgment pages 248 – 259 Lane outlines how the misleading Warren process prevented information about that meeting getting out. Presumably Lane had promised not to reveal the name of his source about the meeting. In 1968 Joachim Joesten wrote that “Tippit…..was up to his neck in the conspiracy to kill President Kennedy. A Bircher, a marksman and a member of the police force which almost openly connived at the ambush in Dealey Plaza”.

[5] We know Oswald played many roles across the right/left spectrum from working with Ferrie under Guy Bannister out of Bannisters office assisting to train anti-Castro Cubans to handing out leaflets for the pro-Castro “Fair Play for Cuba Committee” in NOLA streets. We also know Oswald was impersonated by somebody visiting the USSR Embassy in Mexico City. Mark Lane in Rush to Judgment Chapt 27 p324 discusses four odd episodes around Dallas where Oswald may have been impersonated.
We also know of an ex Marine Kerry Thornley who knew Oswald in the Marines and is said to resemble him and may have been one of the impersonators. So the entire issue of Oswald being impersonated could be smeared across a few years of evidence and has to be kept in mind.
[6] There is evidence that several groups may have been present at Dealey Plaza to either assassinate JFK or to demonstrate hostility to him in some way, maybe by firing harmless shots.
Expat Cuban groups had grudges against JFK after the Bay of Pigs failure and papers released in 2017-18 show hundreds of members of for example Alpha66 were present in Dallas and Oswald was in touch with them. NOLA mob boss Carlos Marcello had a huge motive to get even with the Kennedys after RFK had him expatriated for years to Central America so I do not think it at all surprising if the mob had paid assassins at Dealey Plaza and Ruby would have jumped to obey any instruction from Marcello. The episode of Rose Cherami a hooker who was travelling in a car from NOLA to Dallas with NOLA mobsters on 20Nov1963 when they dumped her on a highway and she ended up in hospital where she foretold the attack on JFK. Jimmy Hoffa and the Teamsters Union had reasons to hate the Kennedy’s and had scores to settle. The CIA had used mob figures in their often weird efforts to kill Castro so there might have been multiple possible motives to payback grudges in Dallas. Various Mob figures invested in Havana casinos lost megabucks when Castro took over Cuba in 1959 so there would have been grudges aplenty to pay back. Castro himself knew of these CIA/Mob attempts to kill him during the JFK administration which seems a basic enough motive to payback JFK with harm. In a nutshell, there was a conga line of suckholes happy if harm was to come to JFK or his brother.
[7] I think that most Dallas cops many of whom would have served in WWII, could have in a heartbeat identified the Mauser rifle said to have been found under boxes on the 6th floor of TSBD. The notion this had “Made in Italy” stamped on it and multiple Dallas cops missed seeing that is ludicrous. It is possible the Mannlicher-Carcano was found by Dallas PD in the Paines garage and was introduced quietly into the case in that way and we know the telescopic sight on that rifle was so badly fitted the Carcano could not have been fired strait enough to harm anybody at the distance supposedly fired at JFK. When Warren had the rifle tested the FBI had already added various shims to correctly align the telescopic sight both for sideways and up & down errors. It is also possible LHO did bring the rifle to work and it could have been hidden anywhere in the large TSBD building.
[8] Marina Oswald has said that when she and Mrs Paine heard on TV that LHO had been arrested she went into the garage to check if the rifle was still there wrapped in a blanket. Marina said the rifle was still in the blanket and I am assuming she felt the “parcel” firmly enough to satisfy herself that the rifle was there, I mean it does not take a uni degree.
[9] Eye witnesses to the Tippit killing talk of the shooter being stocky & heavily built with bushy hair – nothing like Oswald but Warren and police threats airbrushed all that away.
[10] On 1st Jan 1964 the Houston Post carried an article by Lonnie Hudkins headlined “Oswald Rumored as Informant to U.S.” which presented data relating Oswald to the FBI. (R to J p370) In the next week or two the Texas Attorney General Waggoner Carr contacted the Warren Commission to say that LHO was an undercover FBI agent and Waggoner Carr was backed up by Henry Wade the Dallas prosecutor. Mark Lane says even LHO’s mother chimed in claiming to media that her son was “tied in with the CIA or State Dept”. (R to J p367) Yet despite all that evidence the Warren process aided by the CIA dominated USA mainstream media – Time-Warner, Newsweek, NBC, ABC, CNN, etc maintained the “Oswald was a lone nut” fiction for decades.
[11] A puzzling episode was Oswald going into the theatre and I have wondered if he expected to meet somebody there and the meet fell through. I am not aware of any rumours/explanations over the decades. Another puzzle was the Earlene Roberts description of a police car with 2 guys in tooting outside Oswalds rooming house.
[12] I see in news now even reported by OurABC – “National Archives releases documents related to JFK assassination 16Dec22” search that ABC headline which reports the release of 12,879 docs.

[14] Mark Lane in his 1966/1992 book Rush to Judgment p399 says there were 266 witnesses around Dealey Plaza known to the Warren Commission and a further 11 mentioned in media. Yet in the minutes after JFK was shot NOBODY caught the lift or walked the stairs up to the 6th Floor of the Texas School Book Depository despite there being dozens of witnesses in the building and close by outside on the street incl. staff. The three coloured guys who we know were on the 5th Floor just under Warren’s assumed assassin, separated from the “shooter” by floor boards and a sheet of gyprok; we know they ran to the WEST SIDE OF THE 5TH FLOOR 100ft away to see what everybody was looking at towards the railroad tracks, R to J p105-106. Many minutes passed before people disturbed the peace & quiet of the 6th Floor of the TSBD.
[15] IMHO if Oswald had gone to trial under normal rules of evidence where witnesses can not be bullied harrassed (and even killed) and assuming he had competent lawyers – LHO would not have been convicted.
