  1. The UN is a pernicious organization. Like any bureaucracy it wishes to expand its power and influence.
Agenda 21 and the IPCC are examples.

They are smarter than Napoleon and Hitler whose limited imaginations thought they could rule the world through force of arms.
The UN and its cronies believe they can rule the world by disseminating brain washing and lies to such an extent that countries will WANT to be ruled by a communist despotism in the name of CO2 is a dangerous poison and the doctrine of “sustainability” – the definition of which means that all industry must die in order to save the planet.

Agenda 21 and its tentacles are already well infiltrated in your local government and education. See www.thedemiseofchristchurch.com

green-agenda.com/index.html is a well documented site which further explores what I am saying.

Please read, I believe our future depends on everyone understanding these things.

  2. Roger’s response reeks of Minority Interest at work again.

A contributing factor to the demise of the Reef as an international icon, is the run-off (silt, fertiliser and pesticides) from banana (and sugar) plantations along the coastal fringes.

When a fisherman recently presented video evidence from his flying drone, the Qld Minister with the portfolio for the Reef glibly said “but I like bananas”. Australians pay more for home grown bananas than other countries who are able to freely import them thanks to Aquis implicit protection.

Here banana growing is yet another Minority Interests being protected at the expense of the national and, especially here with the Reef, the international interest.

Objectively looking at the way the Barrier Reef, the Murray Darling river system, and much of Tasmania is being handled, Australia’s environment is being grossly mishandled.

Democracy has a flaw especially in this country with fifteen times more levels of government than NZ, the cow towing to elevated Minority Interests such as the rural sector.

When Australia places Minority Interests before national and international responsibilities, then we have to stand aside. The UN and its agencies have every moral right to assume influence over heritage listed areas, notably the Reef. Only those with vested interests could oppose this.
