Sooner Labor takes over Fed. Govt. the better

It is worse than just this upcoming Bali UN GabFest. The SMH reports that at ScoMo’s request – last month Malcolm Turnbull represented Australia in New York at at least two meetings under UN auspices. The first time was for a high-level panel on building a sustainable ocean economy, the second the launch of an initiative to advance non-tobacco investments.

  1. What a total insult that the politically clueless Scott Morrison would even consider nominating this treacherous narcissist to represent Australia even to conduct a pub chook raffle!
Seems the hapless Scott Morrison’s has fired the first shot in the battle of the Liberal Party split.

  2. Interesting SMH article added at top of your blog. Sure seems an odd thing to do when we have untold already paid for career staffers in NY or DC whose job it is to represent Australia at this or that UN yakfest we would normally hardly hear about. When the new PM desperately needs clear air to chatter about whatever good news they can dredge up – why keep involving MT and risk all the poisonous barnacles again?

  3. I was immediately reminded of the first episode of Yes, Prime Minister where the out-going Cabinet Secretary tells Sir Humphrey what positions he would like in retirement.
The Caribbean authority for winter vacations etc.

  4. ScoMo also got Turnbull to call in on the Indonesian president during his Bali junket. Afterwards:

“Mr Morrison, in an interview with 2GB, said “issues of trade and other things” were “not really part of the brief” for Mr Turnbull’s trip.

That prompted Mr Turnbull to take to Twitter to respond to the criticism.

“A few facts. @ScottMorrisonMP asked me to discuss trade and the embassy issue in Bali and we had a call before I left to confirm his messages which I duly relayed to @jokowi,” he tweeted.

During his trip, Mr Turnbull said moving Australia’s embassy to Jerusalem would provoke a “very negative reaction” from Indonesia.

This morning, 2GB radio broadcaster Alan Jones asked Mr Morrison whether there would be “more missions for this man to be able to go and spout his own, discredited views”.

To that, the Prime Minister replied, “no”.”

For some unaccountable reason, ScoMo has been treating Turnbull like a spoilt child. Here, Malcolm, have a gig at the UN, have a prance around in Bali, have a chat with Widodo. Every time, Turnbull just takes ScoMo’s toys and throws them out of his stroller, whingeing and bellyaching as he does it.
