Rainbow Beach “sinkhole” is so obviously the landward end of a slump in marine sediments

Just as well it happened near low tide or it could have been blamed on rising sea levels. Similar happened in 2011. Sinkhole swallows car, caravan at campsite near Queensland’s Rainbow Beach

  1. There’s a point, when it pointless for a politicians to try to stop the tide of public opinion and what they need is a guide who help them understand that public opinion.

Or to put it more simply, irrespective of whether Turnbull likes the way the public mood is going, he’d do better with a guide who is attuned to the public rather than some idiot who is clueless.

  2. A google earth over view could give a better insight into the tidal /current flows. It certainly looks like it could be just a localized bank subsidence from the image angle ( on a bend & all).

Typical beat-up . I wonder if anybody has dragged the hole for dead polar bears?

Pity it did not happen when Tony was still PM. I am sure they ABC could have worked up an angle to blame it on the negligence of Deniers.
