The Australian Bureau of Meteorology needs to be questioned about their temperature adjustments – under conditions such as at a Royal Commission or at Senate Estimates

The latest article by Ken Stewart – Rutherglen: Spot the Outlier – builds on the momentum started by Dr Jennifer Marohasy who was a key to articles in The Australian on 23-24 August which questioned the BoM ACORN SAT high warming adjusted temperature series. And of course Jo Nova has been active on this issue for a long time.
Top BoM people need to be questioned about ACORN SAT under conditions where there is no escape – then truth might emerge into the light.

  1. I am still ‘miffed’ as to why the 850hpa temp anomalies are recording neutral to cool across much of OZ..

    but

the BOM surface temp’ max’ anomalies are often in the 7th to 9th decile over many parts of OZ
with western coast of WA the highest on record for August..?

Apparently a +2 ( 850hpa) temp anomaly near west WA is equivalent to a surface temp’ record in same location??
Is the 850hpa temp’ in Kelvin?

    280 ? the mean

  2. So far the have refused to provide answers to “amateurs”. When a professional appears (and one who demolished their last attempt at an “australian warming” they feel they cannot comment without some time to assemble their answer; in other words stay mum and hope it goes away.

I would agree with you, there needs to be an inquiry and one with teeth into this mess.
