GISS urban adjusted version for Melbourne Australia from year 2000 compared with 2014 adjusted version

Had to cable up some old HDD’s and made a few interesting discoveries – GISS around 2000 made an attempt to adjust for UHI contamination using a long tapered adjustment – which in retrospect was probably one of the better attempts by any of the big IPCC climate groups to deal with UHI.

Most of them do nothing. I am looking for some data files showing the tapered UHI adjustment.

  1. Thanks for the hard work you have put in to exposing this.
Heart breaking really. Who to trust
It would be good to see how this compares top the raw data on your animation. If there is any raw unadulterated data left.

Homogenised, cut, paste, filtered, parst, sieved , adjusted, evaluated and start again.

Just can’t be bothered any more but the truth is someone must. Thanks Warwick and your helpers for your concern and effort in independently assessing our climate data and exposing the cracks and distortions

  2. What we need is a full set of adjusted and unadjusted stations, and the net adjustments, on the same temp and time scales.

Apparently there are only about 150 stations currently in use by BOM. Not a big job.

Not that a man of the ’90s like me (the 1890s) knows how to do it other than by hand entering data, which IS a big job ….
