(The specified year is not always the first year of the record; in such cases, the earlier untested parts of the record were not used in any subsequent analyses.  The length of the discarded section of records can be found by comparing the first year of record with the first reliable year of record, both of which are listed in Appendix A)

C: Stations not examined (record too short or no adjacent stations for comparison)
D: Stations incorrect (e.g. numerous jumps and/or trends including non-climatic cooling trends).

First time on the www, some scanned pages from the US DoE report TR022,  Appendix A documenting Jones et al Station History and Homogeneity Assessment Details  for the Northern Hemisphere. Click on page # to  bring up scanned page.  Remember  Jones et al have published no updates of station documentation since these reports  TR022 for NH and for SH- TR027,   were reprinted by the DoE's   CDIAC in 1991.  Readers should email CDIAC and ask for copies of TR022 and TR027.  CDIAC foisted this stuff on the world.
