Feds throw $140mill at Wellington Dam

A decade after the WA State Govt proposed to desalinate Muja coal void water and pump it uphill to Harris Dam to reduce salinity in Wellinton Dam – how did that work out? Now PM Turnbull is tipping Fed taxpayers money into the loony toon sheltered workshop that is WA Govt water policy. Collie Mail reports. The WA Govt and watermeisters have for twenty years resisted the Agritech projects one of which proposed to desalinate the water wasted from Wellington Dam every year.

  1. Their are none so blind as those who cannot see and Malcolm Turnbull has displayed his impaired vision comprehensively, with his “Vote Cash Splash” in this mornings paper.

This generous gift of giving the current Labor State Government $5.4 Billion, is the equivalent of providing a continuing supply of drugs to drug addicts who promise to give up their addiction.

The Prime Minister, before making this generous donation should have carried out a thorough audit on the $billions spent on projects like the Fiona Stanley Hospital, the Childrens Hospital, Forrest Highway, Ord dam upgrade project etc.

Surely the Prime Minister is naive if he expects the costings on each of the projects promised to be anywhere near their final cost.

Significantly, now that Barnaby Joyce has left the scene, I can’t find one project designed to reduce salinity, increase production and grain exports, together with Rural Town shrinkage affecting most rural towns, their businesses, populations and amenities, costing over a billion dollars pain losses.

The Blackwood river system in SW Western Australia is 1/70th the size of the Murray Darling and yet discharges more salt at it’s mouth than the Murray and yet receives no interest or funding.

Does the Prime Minister really believe the $5.4 billion in funding will go into projects of significance to the State or will most of it go into the Unions and it’s Members pockets?

Finally, I have spent over 16 years designing , developing and costing projects to permanently eradicate salinity in WA’S SW wheatbelt and Wellington Dam and I can assure readers that the $140m cost to fix Wellington Dam must have come from “Dorothy the tea lady” at Union Headquarters or is a figment of someones vivid imagination.

Anyway must go, Ladbrokes a putting up a projects betting market listing the odds for all the projects listed and their starting prices and I just have to snap up a few unrepeatable
    bargains.
