Gidday Val – I watched the early part of the Pat Michaels online talk at your URL – and I thought he referred to the email Jones wrote me in 2005. I am not sure where you get Mann in this – but I did not watch all of Pat’s talk.

(although that page is being updated by reason of the Govt’s backflip on the CPRS I think this is still current “Australia has set a Renewable Energy Target of 20 per cent by 2020. This means that by 2020, one-fifth of Australia’s electricity will come from renewable sources such as wind, solar and geothermal power.”
The reason I ask is that I want to write to the Opposition about the cost of being clean and green and how ineffective wind and solar power on a commercial level are – I have corresponded with a person who spent 25 years in the Electricity Commission of NSW working, commissioning and operating the various power units and he said he is going to write to Govt about its stupidity on insisting on a 20% renewable energy which is impossible, he’s an expert and I’m a layperson so far as renewable energy is concerned but I’m a voter and have a legal background so I can do research; do you have any expertise in that field or can you point me to someone who does (preferably Aust – might have a bigger impact on the parties)
