NSW is an Importer of Electricity

Here are a series of snapshots of Nemwatch charts from 15th and 16th Feb 2017 with Demand and Price from AEMO annotated in the bottom right.  Remember AEMO time is 1 hour behind Eastern summer time.
All grids need some "spinning reserve". In WA it is often over 10% but I think it would be less in the east where the States grids have connections and thus give mutual support. So probably all the MW's below mentioned as imports or exports would be reduced by an amount to leave sufficient spinning reserve in all grids.

Starting with 9.30pm 15th Feb 2017 - looks a very close run thing to satisfy NSW demand with imports from Qld and Vic.
Qld is as usual in surplus - by 508MW
NSW as usual in deficit - by 1,413MW
Vic as usual in surplus - by 1,155MW
SA in deficit by 294MW obviously importing from Vic
Tas in surplus by 108MW possibly exporting a little to Vic.

4.30am 16th Feb 2017 - there is a National wind drought, particularly  SA, Vic, NSW. The Vic surplus is helping to supply SA, Tas & NSW. Qld also exporting to NSW.
Qld is as usual in surplus - by 929MW
NSW as usual in deficit - by 1,357MW
Vic as usual in surplus - by 1,647MW (remember Hazelwood capacity is 1,600MW)
SA in deficit by 533MW getting near interconnector max.
Tas in deficit by 414MW importing heavily from Vic.

8.40am 16th Feb 2017 - there is still a National wind drought, SA, Vic, NSW wind power is risible. The Vic surplus plus Tas is helping to supply SA, & NSW. Qld also exporting to NSW.
Qld is as usual in surplus - by 851MW
NSW as usual in deficit - by 883MW
Vic as usual in surplus - by 1,027MW
SA in deficit by 474MW
Tas in surplus by 296MW exporting some to Vic.

Midday 16th Feb 2017 - there is still a National wind drought, all States wind power is risible. The Vic surplus plus Tas is helping to supply SA, & NSW. Qld also exporting to NSW.
Qld is as usual in surplus - by a substantial 1,490MW (why this large figure?)
NSW as usual in deficit - but only by 142MW
Vic as usual in surplus - by 860MW
SA in deficit by 238MW
Tas in surplus by 451MW exporting to Vic.

5.30pm 16th Feb 2017 - wind has improved best in SA.  The Vic surplus plus ~1,000MW from SA & Tas is helping to supply NSW. Qld also exporting to NSW - I think the max they can export is 600MW.
Qld is as usual in surplus - by a substantial 1,557MW
NSW as usual in deficit - 1,065MW
Vic as usual in surplus - only by 587MW
SA in surplus by 404MW
Tas in surplus by 663MW Basslink must be maxed exporting to Vic.
